Rime is a third-person arcade game from Spanish studio Tequila Works, which debuted in 2012 with the post-apocalyptic Deadlight. The main character of the game is a little boy, who is trying to make it out of a mysterious island hiding a dark secret of the past. The series of diverse puzzles that he will have to solve will help him obtain the mystic key that allows the bearer to control time and space. Mechanics-wise, the game is an arcade with strong platforming elements. The protagonist explores the sprawling world, scales precipitous edges and jumps over chasms. During the game, not only will you have to prove your agility, but also perceptiveness, because elements such as light, sound and touch play a key role in the game.
Note – RimE has not been divided into chapters, and individual scenes do not have any names. If you need help solving a specific puzzle, find the location that you are currently in in this guide. The walkthrough has been divided into chapters, after which you receive achievements.

A third-person view adventure game developed by Tequila Works studio from Spain, which successfully debuted in 2012 with a post-apocalyptic platformer Deadlight. You assume the role of a boy who is trying to escape a mysterious island that conceals a sinister past. During the course of the game you will solve numerous puzzles, using a magical artifact that allows you to manipulate the environment and time. The title, despite being an action game also includes many platformer elements. The hero travels through an open world, climbs craggy cliffs, and jumps over chasms. Apart from being skilled, you also have to be perceptive, as light, sound, and touch (thanks to the technology offered by PS Vita and DUALSHOCK 4) play a vital role in Rime. The game features a 3D environment, colorful visuals, and a comic book-like visual style.

Keep running ahead, jump into the water and climb up the path.
You will wake up on a tropical island, on the beach. Keep running ahead and jump into the water. Cover a small distance swimming and you will reach a small gorge – climb over the stones and their climb up the path. After a while you will reach a tall tower with an opening in the shape of a key.
Here are you will find the first figurine to activate
After the cut scene you will regain control of your character. Your task is to find for construction stones inside which is where you find animal figurines. You will have to activate them using the main character’s voice. They are easy to find because there is a beam of light over each and every one of them. You will find the first one to the right of the location entrance. It is easily accessible.
Pick the fruit and take it to the boar to unblock the passage.
Another figurine is to the left of the entrance. Unfortunately it is guarded by a boar. Go down the path and you will notice fruit trees. Pick one of the fruits and then go back to the boar. Throw the fruit to the animal and the boar will eat it. This will reveal access to the next figurine.
Reaching the third figurine requires a little bit of acrobatics .
The third figurine is much better hidden. From the spot where you have picked the fruit, follow the path up and go towards a narrow passage between the rocks. Go there and jump down below onto the stones. Keep following the path to the chasm and grab onto the ledge. Shimmy to the right and climb up over the roots and grab onto the next ledge. Keep climbing up and head towards the stone structure. At the base of the structure, you will notice a person in a red cape. Do not worry about the figure because in the course of the game you will see that person many times. Go up the stairs until you reach the third figurine.
To reach the fourth figurine you first have to dive underwater.
The fourth figurine is set among rocks out in the sea. Getting there is quite easy – you simply need to locate a beam of light, approach it and you will notice the figurine. Next to the figurine, you should also meet the person in the red cape. Jump into the water and swim up to the rocks – as soon as you are close, dive underwater, swim through the passage and resurface close to the island. Come up to the dry land and follow the stone steps up until you reach the last figurine.
Activate the figurines and go over the bridge to the next location .
You have just managed to activate all of the figurines. Go back to the mainland and go back to the huge pedestal at the base of the tower. Approach the statuettes and activate them using your voice. This will activate the huge statue – use your voice again and as a result, a fox-like animal will appear. He will remain your loyal companion for the rest of the game and will often hint you on where to go next. Apart from that you will see a tall stone column with stars – use them to enter the pier. At the end of the path you will find a statuette and closed door. Use your character’s voice to open the passage and unlock access to the next location.
Activate the figurine, jump onto the stone and proceeded on .
As soon as you cross the gate, run head. Follow the remains of the stone path, go past the lake, and soon you will notice your fox companion on the stone balcony. Right next to him you will notice a figurine – activate it using your voice; as a result a stone block will appear. Jump onto the stone and cross to the other side.
Stand so that all the figurines are highlighted and use the voice of the main character .
Jump down and your character will try to interact with the animal that you have just woken up. After that cutscene, run after the fox – he will show you the correct direction in which to follow. After a while you will reach a closed door and three figurines around it. This is a puzzle which, in a way, introduces you to a certain mechanism – using your voice, you can activate only a specific number of figurines simultaneously. Note that you can activate only those of the statuettes that your character is standing close to. To be able to proceed, you have to highlight all of the figurines at the same time and activate them by screaming.
Align the sides of the gates.
After you have unlocked the gates, keep on moving. Follow the stone path and turn left, then turn right. You will reach a pedestal with a hole carved into it – approach it and activate it. Your task is to align the sides of the gates, thanks to which it will magically materialize.
Form another gate.
Enter through the gate and jump down. Move the stone block so that you can reach the gaps on one of the columns. Climb up and follow the stairs up. You will have to solve another gate puzzle here. Manipulate the camera to form the shape of another gate.
First move the column towards the door and form the frame.
Follow through the gate. Climb up over the stairs, past the old stone building to reach a big square with another puzzle. Start by shoving the stone block with a part of the frame ripped out (place it in the special field) and use the pedestal.
Using the frame fragments, you can form the door.
Align the missing element with the highlighted part of the gate. Then, move the fragment that you have just formed right next to the other fragment. Turn the pedestal around and form another gate. After that, jump down and dash towards the door. Enter.
Collect the key and put it into the wall.
After your enter the next location, go left, where you have last seen the character in the red cape. Climb up the stairs and approach the metal key. Collect it, approach the wall and use it to open the way ahead. You will reach a big Coliseum. In the location, there also is, among others, a sphinx and two passages to the next locations.
First, take the passage on the left and climb up the stairs. Move a bit ahead and go towards the tower. After a while, the bridge will crumble behind you. Climb up the stairs and you will run into a hole in the ground, after a while. Jump down. Approach the ledge. Lower yourself and jump over to the other side. Climb up over the roots and you will reach a puzzle with figurines.
You have to move the pedestal with the orb into specific spots and activate it with your voice.
Activate the figurine next to the water and climb the platform quickly. In a moment, the platform goes up. From here, jump over to the other side, grab onto the ledge and enter a new location. Move the orb on the pedestal closer to the figurine and activate it with your voice. Once you have revealed the passage, move the column to the marked button on the ground and use your character’s voice again. Jump onto the platform going up and walk through the newly-revealed passage.
Reveal the hidden figurine and activate it.
You will reveal a passage to the next figurine – you simply have to jump onto it and climb over the golden ledges. Then, push off towards the projecting fragment of the floor and walk through the passage. Move the stone block with the orb to the right, so that it reaches the figurine in the distance. Use your voice and you will reveal another figurine above the passage. Move the orb left and activate it. The column will rocket up.
Jump onto the elevated column and climb up. Push off to reach the projecting stone fragment and go outside across the window. Lower yourself, move right along the edge and climb up over the roots. Follow the steps up, use the ledge again and climb up to the very top. Approach the big orb, shout and there will appear a red tree in the Coliseum.
You will find the first key fragment at the foot of the tree.
Jump down and head towards the fox. Keep running down and towards the tree. At the foot of the tree, you will find the first key fragment. Place it inside the sphinx and go through the next passage to the next location.
Use the fruit to make way for yourself.
Cross the passage shaped like a big golden key. Cross the bridge and you will encounter a boar that will escape and destroy, at the same time, thickets blocking the way. After you go ahead a little, you will note that there are identical thorn thickets blocking the passage ahead. Approach the fruit tree and lure the boar near the thickets. Then, toss the fruit, so that the animal makes the way ahead for you. Then, activate the figurine and cross the revealed passage.
Throw the ball to the other side and place it on the pedestal.
Up ahead, there is a puzzle with orbs. Pick up the shining orb and place it on the pedestal. This way the platform that you are standing on will be elevated. As soon as the mechanism gives in, pick up the orb and throw it over to the other side, towards the other pedestal. Follow the orb, pick it up from the ground and place it on the elevation, which will reveal the passage.
Manipulate the orbs below to place the orb above the correct place .
Go up the stairs and climb up over the ledges. You will walk into a location with more orbs and a puzzle. Take the orb from the pedestal in the middle and place it on the elevation on the right. Jump onto the wall and go towards the orb up above. Carry it over the stairs to the other side and place it in the centre of the golden ring. Jump down and place the orb of the pedestal on the left. Climb up again, pick up the orb from the ground and place it on the elevation that has just appeared. Then jump down and move the orb to the middle pedestal.
Obtain the second key and place it at the foot of the Sphinx.
This will reveal a passage up ahead – follow it up until you reach the “scenic panel” that you saw earlier. Manipulate the camera to place the key in the correct spot. Afterwards pick up the other of the keys and jump down over the fragment of the tower that has just appeared. Run toward the Sphinx and place another key in the correct spot. Finally your path to the tower will open.
Climb to the very top of the tower.
After you have placed the keys at the base of the Sphinx, you will reveal the passage ahead. The Cross the gate and, at the end of the path, use the figurine to open the way up ahead. Climb onto the fragment of the stone stairs, climb up, grab onto the stone ledge and jump onto the vines on the wall. Continue up the stairs until you reach the very top.
Once you set the same time of the day, the shadow of the figure will fit into the shape on the wall.
Here, you will have to solve a quite unique puzzle. You can shove the stone, as a result of which the time of the day changes. The point of the puzzle is to manipulate shadows – position the orb just like in the above screenshot. Then, jump onto the stone block on the right. The shadow will correspond to the shape on the wall, and you will unlock the passage ahead.
Find out which of the narrow passages the wind blows into and head deeper into the building.
Go towards the mysterious person in the cape and the fox. Use the figurine, which will open the passage ahead. Follow along the glowing ground and in front of the wall with the key painted on it use your character’s voice. Follow the corridors and go through the narrow passage. Go through the locations and reach the spot where there is wind blowing – use your character’s scream to remove the pitcher and walk inside.
Dash from one glowing figurine to another.
Run down the corridor and follow up ahead until you reach a large and dark chamber. Go right and try to walk around the interior of the chamber – keep approaching the glowing figurines up until you reach the centre of the chamber, where the figure in the red cape was. Go through the passage and jump down to the very bottom.
Go through the passage up ahead to reach a completely new location, and complete the first chapter of the game.
Keep going up ahead until you reach the chamber with a huge staircase. Keep going up – there is quite a long way ahead. Finally you will reach a huge shining passage – keep going ahead and enter the light to travel to a completely different location. This is the end of the first chapter of the game.
Follow the fox and ignore the creatures.
You will end up in a strange land where everything is white all around. Follow the red Cape towards the ship. Go aboard and, after a while, you will reappear on the island. Dash down and you will encounter a group of strange creatures. You do not have to be afraid of them – in this chapter you will be encountering them quite often along your path. Keep following the fox and, after several short cutscenes, you’ll finally reach the gold orb.
As soon as you notice the screen going red, take cover under the stone.
While you are trying to solve the puzzle and figure out the shadow, a flying monster will appear, which will snatch the orb. Follow the creature and, after a while, you will be knocked down. Throughout the majority of the chapter, you will have to avoid the beast and hide under covers, to avoid being spotted. Note that whenever you are out in the open, the screen will go red – this means that the beast has spotted you and is now trying to catch you.
Obtain the key and use it on the wall.
After you have dropped down, hide immediately under the stone structure. After the screen stops glowing red, run ahead – to reach the next stone structure up ahead. Keep doing that up until you reach the crypt. Inside there is a new type of puzzle. After it is voice-activated, the figurine turns in your direction. You can use it to turn the wall inside and continue your journey. At the end of the crypt, there is the first key. Take it, activate the figurine at the door and leave.
Activate the figurines and run through the passage.
Again, you will have to start running from the monster, so as to get to the stone block where you can use the key. Use it and you will reach a chamber with a figurine and a pool of water. Activate the figurines and quickly climb up the stairs, through the passage that has just been revealed.
Position the orb in the way shown in the above screenshot and approach the second sun symbol.
The rules of the puzzle are simple – by manipulating objects, you have to make the shadow to be cast on to the sun symbol. Start by positioning the orb so that it casts shadow on the symbol on the left. Come up to the stone block and cast your own shadow onto the other symbol. As a result of that, a stone will be lowered – jump onto it and continue your journey.
Pull the block out of the foundations.
Climb up the stairs and shout to activate figurines. Thanks to this you will activate small roofs above your head. You can now approach the white block and pull it out of the structure. As a result of that, black smoke will be released, which will allow you to chase the beast away. Move the white block towards the wall and jump over to the other side.
Hop over the wall towards the figurine.
Activate the figurines and hide under the roof, after a while jump onto the stone next to the roof and climb up. Keep jumping from one roof to another and jump towards the figurine at the other side of the wall. Activate it and pull another stone block out of foundations. The released smoke will form a storm, which will chase of the beast away for a moment.
Dive underwater and swim towards the stone structure.
Follow all the fox past the ghosts. Enter the building, jump onto the ledge, turn around and jump to the other side. Run down the stairs and dive into the water. Swim ahead a bit and resurface outside of a small temple. You are trapped and you cannot return to the mainland, because there is no roof there that would save you from the beast.
Obtain the first of the keys.
You must try another method – jump into the sea and dive. In the water you are safe, so you can occasionally dive and make the beast lose interest in you. Swim towards the islet and dive – swim into the building shown in the above screenshot. Eventually, you will reach a crack, thanks to which you will be able to resurface. Now you will have to do some climbing and jump over the remains of the building. Obtain the key and get out of that building.
Turn the bridge around and obtain the key.
This time around, swim into the structure underneath the reef which has been presented in the above screenshot, and reach the chamber with the figurine. Give it a turn, so as to create a bridge thanks to which you will get to the other side and obtain the other key.
Swim into of the main building.
You can take the keys to the main gate underwater – swim inside and resurface through their crack. Go up to the wall know and use the keys that you have obtained, thanks to which the passage ahead will be revealed. Follow the path to reach a chamber with another puzzle, which is based on shadowplay.
Cover two of the symbols activate the orb and use your own shadow to cover the third symbol.
The puzzle is about moving the stone block so that the shadow it casts falls on to sun symbols. The solution has been presented in the above screenshot. After that, approach the orb in the centre, activate it and run quickly towards the third symbol, so as to cast your own shadow and reveal the figurine.
Copy the shape onto the block and move it to the right .
As a result of that, the chamber will be flooded with water. Resurface, go left and pull the white stone to move it to the centre of the chamber. Place it on the appropriate field and approach the pedestal – using it you will have to copy the symbol onto the stone and move it to the right so that it casts its shadow and reveals a figurine.
Start a storm above the mill.
Use the figurine, as a result of which the water level will rise again. Swim up, climb onto the structure and pull out the first of the blocks, which will release black smoke. Go right, jump into the water, take the stairs and pull out the second of the stones. Thanks to this a storm will start above the second mill, which will chase the beast away.
Swim towards the ships and reach the top of the structure.
With the beast chased away, jump down and jump into the sea. Swim towards the Bay with ships and go out onto the beach. Walk past the terrified ghosts and jump into the crack with water. Swim up a bit and resurface in the old temple. Climb up the stairs, jump over to the other side of the pier and take the stairs up until you walk outside.
Keep hiding from the beast and jump towards the fox.
Dash ahead and hide underneath the wooden planks. Once the beast attacks, dash under the other remains of the ship. Keep doing that and hide in safe places, up until you reach the fox. Follow him and jump onto the remains of the building.
Keep climbing until you reach the building with a stone mast .
Grab onto a ledge and jump left. Get around the building and take the ledge to go to the top. Hide quickly underneath the stone roof and, when it’s safe, climb down the stairs and go left. Start climbing over the ledges and jump, up until you reach the building shown in the above screenshot. You will get into a location with a ship and a mast.
First, position the mast in the way shown in the above screenshot.
Approach the crank and position the mast in a way in which it casts its shadow over all four symbols. Then run ahead and jump onto the lowest block. Go right and use the figurine at the end to unlock the bridge.
Thanks to this positioning you will be able to get out of the room .
Jump down and turn the mast so that you can easily jump onto it from the bridge. As a result, the mast will bend slightly, which results in a new combination of shadows. Give the crank a turn, just like in the above screenshot and jump onto the bridge. Go past the beast, jump onto the stone blocks and through the hole in the wall.
Climb up the stairs and over the planks.
Keep running ahead and hide underneath the stairs. Then, keep running ahead a little bit more and walk into the building. Take the wooden stairs up and take the jump. Keep going, use a ledge and soon the planks will crack under your weight. Fortunately, a net also appears. Grab it and go up.
Inadvertently, the monster will make it easier for you to access the block that releases the storm.
Climb onto another net on the wall and go left. The flying monster will appear and, using its roar, it will destroy the planks next to you. Seize the opportunity and pull out the first of the blocks that release the black smoke. Then, get the stone under the scaffolding and go to the left. Use the planks on the wall to reach another block and pull it out. This will start the third, and last, storm in this land.
Run past the ghosts and follow the fox
Once the beast flies away, climb down the building and go to the fox. Follow him, jump down the stairs and reach the very bottom. Cross the stone bridge, and go down the stairs and keep up with the fox.
Eventually, you will reach a white building – climb to the very top.
After a while, you will reach the building – enter and run along the successive rooms. Climb up over the stone blocks and, after a while, you will reach a sizeable chamber with a chasm. Go right, run towards the stone and keep climbing up the stairs. Walk outside and you will meet the fox once again.
Use of the orb to knock ghosts off the bridge.
Keep following the fox and you will eventually reach a white building. Jump onto the stone block, grab onto the golden ledges and climb up. After a while you will reach the very top. The path ahead is blocked by ghosts.
Escape from the beast.
Approach the golden orb and give it a push, which will knock all the ghosts off the bridge and unlock passage. Take a few steps ahead and the flying monster will appear again. Run as fast as you can, up ahead, which will start a cutscene, where the monster drops into the chasm. Now it will leave you alone.
Position the orb in the way shown in the above screenshot and jump onto the pedestal on the right.
You will get back into the chamber from which you have started this chapter. However, this time around you can finally solve the puzzle. Position the orb so that the symbol on the left is in full light. You can now jump onto the stone block on the right and match your shadow with the shape on the wall.
Cross the door and the chapter will end .
Follow the uncovered passage up to the tower. After a while you will see a door and a light. Follow it and you will have finished this chapter.
Proceed through this door to continue your journey
You’ll begin the chapter with a short cut-scene. Once you’ve began the level, proceed straight ahead. You’ll quickly notice that you’re back to your initial location. Time to try a different route – use the door on your right and get through a short corridor.
Dive into the pond to begin an underwater sequence
You should reach a moss-covered corridor. Turn left and run to the end of the corridor, then turn around and return using the same route. The new chamber contains a large statue – get behind it and dive into the encountered basin.
Swim through air bubbles to replenish your oxygen
Make your way forward. The swim is quite lengthy, but you can gather air bubbles that will replenish your oxygen supply. You should finally get some respite by reaching a dry cave. Continue the journey by diving in the new waterway.
Point the lens at the shadows
The swim should finally lead you to dry land. Climb on the nearby rock and proceed forward. You’ll reach a dark chamber inhabited by shadows that are blocking the way forward. Climb on the lit tree to reach the nearby ledge and turn the mechanism to subject the shadows to the light. Use the unlocked pathway to continue.
The fox is waiting for you at the end of the walkway
You’ll encounter a new pool – time to repeat the previous steps. Swim through the cave and gather air bubbles in order to replenish your health. The cave will lead you to a large chamber – make your way down the platform to encounter your companion – the fox, who will lead you further into the ruins.
Place the sphere next to a crescent symbol
Get past the branches by grasping the ledge on your left and use it to get to the other side. The fox will lead you to a large chamber. Pick up the sphere from the end of the walkway and plant it inside the circle to unlock the way forward. Make haste, as the revealed door will disappear in a short moment.
You’ll reach a new chamber containing a shining sphere. Pick it up and place it on the pedestal, then climb on the golden brick to cast a shadow on the wall. This will unlock the way forward – continue following the fox. The new room contains a bipedal robot – use the shining sphere to jumpstart him. Follow him – the robot will clear the roots, but the action will disable it. Fortunately, it will send you a vision regarding the future events.
Some of the shadows will harass you and drain your health
Use the unlocked passage and cross the bridge to reach a very dark cave with harassing shadows. During this stage of your journey, the shadows will engage you and attempt to drain your health. Avoid the shadows and try to keep a safe distance. In this case, run straight ahead, avoid the opponents, and keep running until you’ve reached a shining sphere. Use it on the shadows obstructing the way forward to leave the current chamber.
Lure the shadow closer in order for it to move away from the sphere
You’ve entered the next part of the cave. Use the wall on your left to climb to the upper level and land on the right side of the shadow. Lure it from its initial location in order to reach the shining item. Use the sphere to dispose of the lured shadow and those in the near vicinity, and then use the ledge to climb to the upper level.
Follow the ledges to climb to the upper floors
Turn left and follow the ledges to reach the next floor. Bypass the shadow and proceed forward to get past the large stone. Use the stairs and grab onto the nearby ledge to climb higher. Now, descend the stairs and proceed down the river. Go straight ahead and enter the bridge on your left.
Climb to the platform and follow the stairs to find your companion
Follow the stairs – you should encounter your companion. Follow him and get past a very narrow door. Climb to the ledge on your right and follow the ledges to reach a chamber with a smashed door.
Reach the winder and use it to light up the floor below
Get past the small door located on the left. You’ll find a figurine – use it to climb to the upper floor. Leave the room and approach the figurine found in the middle of the next area. Use the shout to move the shadow to the left side door. Climb the stairs and use the winder to light up the floor below and defeat the shadows.
Get through the newly unlocked walkway and pick up a key
Return to the figurine and rotate it to unlock a different walkway. You should find a key – take it with you and use the elevator to descend to the bottom of the hall. Visit the room which you’ve had lit and place the key into the hole to unlock the way forward.
Place the statue under the door to hold it in place
Use the figurine to summon a sphere placed in a wooden brick. Take it and return to the room with the door and turn right. Place the sphere on the pedestal in order to unlock the door leading to the exterior area. Once you’ve used the door, approach the stone brick with a statue on top and place it directly in the middle of the door. Pick up the sphere – the door will close, but the placed statue will hold the door in place. Use the stairs and place the sphere on the pedestal.
Use the pedestal to create a sphere
The door will lock shut, destroying the thorns around it. Take the sphere and carry it to the upper floor. You’ll reach a large chamber – place the sphere on a pedestal to climb to the upper floor. Jump to the level below and push the new column to a characteristic spot on the ground found on the left side of the column. Activate the large sphere which will emerge from the ground and will serve as the head of our robot.
The magnet will attract the sphere
Carry the sphere to an area below the small balcony to unveil a figurine. Use the newly unlocked object to move the sphere to a nearby chamber Travel to the said room and move the brick with the sphere to a characteristic spot in the middle of the chamber. The action will unlock a new figurine, while the magnet will pull in the robot’s head.
Create a robot and deliver the brick to the upper floor
Move the empty pedestal to a new spot in the ground and use the figurine to deliver it to a higher floor, then use the pedestal to connect the robot’s head with the branches. Descend below and approach the robot to begin a short cut-scene. Once you’re back with your hero, approach the shining sphere and use it to transfer the robot to the field with the empty pedestal. When the robot finds itself on the field, move the column fragment to the lift and place it on a special field to unlock the door below.
Rotate the wheel to unlock the way forward for your new companion
Follow the now operational robot. Cross the stony bridge and get through a nearby crevice. Follow the pathway, then turn left and climb the stairs. Approach the reel and unlock the door for the robot.
Jump to the golden platform and pick up the sphere
Continue following the robot. You should finally reach a previously visited chamber. The robot will place himself on a special tile, revealing a new figurine. Use your Shout to activate the elevator. Once you’ve stopped, jump to the platform below and to the shining sphere below you. Picking it up will fill the room with darkness and spawn new shadows.
Follow the ledges
Approach the field with the shadows and use the sphere to chase them away. The robot will continue moving – follow him. Take the sphere from the room nearby and place it on the pedestal. Follow your companion, then climb on the elevation next to him and start moving through further ledges and column fragments.
Use the sphere to fend the shadows away
You’ll finally reach a new chamber. The robot will destroy the thorns, enabling the fox to join the party. Follow both companions to a chamber surrounded by shadows. Use the sphere to chase them off and continue. The shadows will return in a moment – pick up the sphere and jump to the floor below to fend them away.
The sphere will help you defeat the shadows
Keep carrying the sphere and proceed through the dark corridors. Once you’ve reached your companion, follow him to begin a short cut-scene. Start moving through the flooded corridors to reach a large room that will see you solve a quite complicated riddle.
The fox will show you the way forward
Approach the shining sphere and pick it up. Carry it to the field found east from the entrance and wait until the robot stands on the tile. Use the newly created staircase to carry the sphere upstairs and wait until the robot proceeds to the next field, creating a bridge. Make your way through the bridge and bypass the pedestal (which is currently inactive). Reach the other side of the bridge and begin following the fox.
The skull block has to be moved to the main hall
You are now standing before a challenging climb. Use the planks, ledges, and other protruding elements to climb to the top of the wall. Approach the large block and push it from the lit field to unlock the way forward.
Place the skull block on a special field next to the column. The object will move to the left – pick up the sphere and place it on the new pedestal. Jump below and move the previous block for the column to return to its original spot. Once that is done, push the stone to reveal a staircase leading to the pedestal.
Create a large sphere and use it to jumpstart the robots
Use the pedestal to create a large, shining sphere. Descend below and use your shout to begin a cut-scene. All bipedal robots have returned to life and will begin to walk in the same direction – follow them.
Follow the robots to the large gate
Follow the linear path to reach a new chamber in which one of the robots will stand on a special tile. Jump on a column and cast a shadow on the nearby wall to unlock the way forward. Use it to reach a previously visited staircase. You are now able to get past the key-shaped door – use it complete the third chapter.
You are back on the ship. Approach the silhouette in a red cloak to begin a short cut-scene that initiates the new chapter of your journey. You’ll be traveling onboard a bi-pedal robot, who will allow you to descend to the ground level in a short while. Follow the stony stairs to begin a cut-scene depicting the emergence of shadows.
Use the crumbled column to climb to the upper floor
Continue following the fox to reach a large door. The robots can unlock them, but the action costs them their “lives”. Get past the opened door and continue moving forward. Unfortunately, all pathways will be locked. Double back a few meters for a robot to cast down a column that will allow you to continue.
The robots will help you get through the obstacles at hand
Scale the column and jump to the other side of the wall. Turn right next to the wall and descend down the stairs. Cross to the other side using the ledges and reach the fox. The robot will destroy the wall that separates both parties and create a pathway for you. Proceed in his direction – you’ll still have to do some climbing.
The last robot will sacrifice himself to get rid of the final obstacle
Finally, the party will reach a new door – another robot will give his life in order to unlock the path forward. Continue through the linear path to encounter another locked door. You’ll be subjected to a sad cutscene – the last robot will sacrifice himself to unlock the door. Proceed to a large courtyard to find a statue of yourself.
The first figurine can be found along the way
Your current task is to activate four figurines in a manner similar as in the initial stages of the game. You can locate the objects through a vertical light found above each one of them. The first figurine is located next to the large statue. Once you’ve found yourself next to the monument, turn left and use the stairs to continue following the light. Ignore the phantoms, as they are currently neutral. You should reach the first figurine – wait until the fox reveals it and activate it by using your shout.
Reach the tallest column by climbing on the toppled ones
Make your way to the next figurine, which can be found on a lone column. You need use the columns nearby to reach the top of the column and use the figurine. See the screenshots above for a short walkthrough.
Jump on the white mechanism to clear the stones
The climb for the third statuette begins with using the white mechanism that hides some of the stones. Repeat the move a few times to destroy the stones blocking the way forward.
The stream will raise a walkway that can be used to reach one of the statuettes
You’ll encounter another white mechanism enroute to the fourth statuette. Using it will release a water stream which will lift up a small walkway – use it to reach the final statuette.
The fox will sacrifice himself in order for you to reach the end of the journey
Once you’ve activated all four figurines, proceed to the main statue. Sadly, the fox will sacrifice himself in order to activate the sculpture. A strange thing will happen – your hero will be changed into a white stone. Start strafing left and right to free yourself from the trap. Unfortunately, our hero has been transformed into a black phantom.
Climb to the top and use the mechanism
Start climbing up the wall, then jump on the stone and reach the nearby ledge. Use the stones to continue the climb and get a hold of the ledge to start moving right. Move up and jump on the white mechanism to break the chain and bring some light to the chamber.
Continue the climb to reach the next mechanism
Jump below and approach the lit wall. Use it to start climbing, then turn left. Jump through the stone and continue moving left to reach a new mechanism. Jump on it to bring more light to the hall.
The imposing chain will lead you to the final mechanism
Descend from the structure. Look to your right to find a column that can be used to continue the descent. The encountered ledge can be used to reach a large chain found on your left. Jump the chain and use it to reach a new mechanism.
The end of your journey
You’ve managed to regain your former self. Jump on the nearby block to reveal a staircase leading to a shiny portcullis – use them to end chapter 4.
Approach the father
The epilogue returns to the ship, but this time you’ll assume the role of the father who attempts to save his son from drowning. Once you’ve regained control over the hero, leave the room and proceed through the corridor to reach your father. A short cut-scene takes you to a large tower. Perform a jump to conclude the boy’s story.
Look through the window and leave the room to end the game
You’ll assume control over the father – make your way to the main hero’s room and look through the window. Proceed to the door to begin another short cutscene depicting the farewell between the father and the son. The credits are on – you’ve managed to complete the game!
