Xbox boss Phil Spencer has always been a class act when he speaks about the competition, often praising Nintendo and Sony for their efforts. Recently, he spoke to AusGamers, where he had some very positive things to say about Nintendo’s first party games.
Spencer said that Nintendo’s first party games “are the strongest of anybody”. He said that he would love to see Mario on the Xbox One, adding:
“As someone who’s been in this industry and played games forever, I’ll still say it: Nintendo has the strongest first-party of anybody. They’re just fantastic and the memories that they have instilled in so many of us.”
Phil Spencer has been saying good things about Nintendo for a while. He praised the company’s first party games in the past, and when Nintendo was struggling with the Wii U and low sales, Spencer said “never count Nintendo out“.
But not matter how much praise he gives Nintendo, we doubt it’ll convince them to release Mario on the Xbox
